Testimony of Forgiveness

Special Guests:
Misty Wallace & Keith Blackburn

A 20-year story of redemption will be shared with us next Sunday during both services.  Indiana resident Misty Wallace was a high school senior when she was shot in the head and left to die two decades ago.

Keith Blackburn, the perpetrator, found Christ in 1996 while in prison.  He was released from prison in 2001.  Blackburn, a chaplain for the Indiana Department of Correction serving at the Indianapolis Re-entry and Education Facility, is a Master of Divinity student at Wesley Seminar at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Wallace found Blackburn through Facebook last year.  The two of them have told their story publicly in a Criminal Justice class at IWU and in a presentation at Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, Indiana on March 13.

Jack Brady, assistant professor of criminal justice at IWU, helped organize each of these events.

"The story has got to get out there," Brady said.  "It's too remarkable... God has already used it some.  He's going to use it some more."
